Combining easy-going "curves" with "planes" that elicit a sense of hardness, the Bicycle Taxi evokes a sense of nostalgia for the Asia of bygone days, and at the same time has a future feel to it. Natural materials such as hemp and wood fibers are used on the interior. Transparent materials are used for the roof, emphasizing a sense of unity with the outside. The product was designed in such a way that the openness one could only find in a bicycle taxi, driven by Yamaha's PAS electric bike technology, is felt in every aspect of the vehicle.
